“I’m feeling irrationally confident!” says Dipper. “Gimme a laser blaster!”
Blendin tosses one laser blaster to Mabel and one to Dipper, who catches it, twirls it around his finger, and then takes a shot at the rocks above the tunnel.
BLAM!
A glowing blue ball of energy fires from the blaster and careens toward the rocks, hitting them dead-on. The rocks explode like fireworks and cascade down the cliff face to block the path. The engineer quickly pulls the brake, and the enormous train screeches and starts to slow.
“Nailed it,” says Dipper before realizing the laser blaster is burning hot. “Ah, hot-hot-hot!” he yelps, juggling the red-hot weapon and sucking his thumb.
The train reaches a full stop and Mabel shoots her laser blaster into the air to grab the passengers’ attention. Passengers crowd the windows. Peering at Dipper, Mabel, and Blendin, they clutch each other and shiver. Some passengers even start whimpering.
“Uh, what do we do now?” asks Dipper. “Should I talk? Do you want to talk?”
“I don’t know! I didn’t think this far ahead!” says Mabel. “Say something!”
“No, you say something!” he says.
“Guys, I’ll say something!” says Blendin.
Mabel looks at him and says, “Awww, I think the adults should handle this one.” She motions to herself and Dipper. “So who’s it gonna be, Dipper? We’re starting to lose our audience!”
“Uhhh…uhhhhh…” says Dipper.
